According to the local representative of the Organization of American States (OAS), the Organization is helping the tiny Caribbean nation of St. Kitts and Nevis in several energy-related areas. It has provided the local government with draft legislation regarding the promotion of wind power and bioenergy in the islands. It has provided the Nevis Island Administration (NIA) with legal and technical advice on the exploration and development of geothermal energy there. And last but not least, it has finished a preliminary feasibility study of a power transmission line linking the two islands.
