There’s an interesting post worth reading in the blog of the University of Chile’s Environmental Law Center (CDA) arguing that the principle of extended producer responsibility (EPR) may be applicable to electronics waste (e-waste, e-scrap or WEEE) in Latin America. The author, the CDA’s Kreuza Alarcón, is part of the team producing a report on the legal environment for handling WEEE in Latin America. Although the post is in Spanish, you can always use Google’s translator.
