| On 30 March 2005 the President approved a decree setting out the implementing regulation for the Law on Promoting Biocombustibles. Among other things, the regulation sets out the "bio" percentages each type of fuel will carry, and the timetable for gradual phase-in by region. Gasoline with alcohol content of 7.8% will begin phasing in regionally as of 30 June 2006, with availability throughout the country set for 01 January 2010. Biodiesel with 5% bio content will start phase-in 01 January 2008 and be available nationwide as of 01 January 2010. |
